Young Carers Illustrations Project
I was privileged to speak via Zoom at the launch in Tokyo today of an important new documentary film by Mari Edwards (formerly Mari Yamamoto). “Young Carer Voices UK” had it’s first showing in a cinema in Tokyo and will soon be available to view online. There was also a showing of the very beautiful film by the same director “Being Sunshine” which tells something of the story of prominent young carer advocate Sanyu Musoke who travelled to Japan to be at the showing.

It was through working on Mari’s documentary that those who formed our Young Carers Illustrations Project met up and formed the idea. Ana also made one of the posters for the event which is shown below.
